Learn from Caitlyn Kurtz, Center for Nonprofit Excellence Director at the Community Foundation of East Central Illinois, as she walks participants through the essential steps of building a nonprofit organization, including:

· Define your purpose and programs
· File articles of incorporation
· Draft bylaws
· Develop a board of directors
· Optimize your organization’s fundraising efforts
· Determine if a nonprofit corporation structure is the most suitable way to address your community need.

This interactive session concludes with a Q & A format where you will have an opportunity to get feedback from Caitlyn on how to get involved in nonprofit work in your community, as well as what resources are available to you.
